So Much New Stuff Already in 2026!
Hello & Welcome!
And suddenly its February 2026! How did this happen?
Apologies for not posting more News lately but this year already has been super busy but I wanted to give some updates on all the stuff going on here at Mitz & Simz.
On a personal note, both Sharron and I have celebrated our birthdays. Mine was spent bowling with friends and we had a lovely day up in London and a day at a wild animal sanctuary here in Kent for Sharron's. They were wonderful times and it is always great to spend time with friends and loved ones!
And Mitz & Simz themselves are living their best feline life, although, they are looking forward to less rain and warmer temperatures, but soon come!
I've had some work related business trips as well which caused some disruptions and mild delays with order fulfilment but luckily we were able to work around them without too much hassle. I'm away for a few days again for work this week, but it shouldn't be too disruptive. I don't normally travel this often, but its just a funny confluence of events at the moment which will last for the next few months but then it should get back to normal with trips less frequent. But thanks to everyone for being so patient and understanding with any potential delays while I juggle my main job along with this side business (which, truth be told, this side business is now really my passion and the main job is what pays the bills, but needs must).
As such, with the travel and other general disruptions, we've not had a chance to be so regular with our Tyranny of Dragons and Rime of the Frostmaiden games as we would like but we should be getting back to a more regular schedule towards the end of February. And that means more session write-ups. I do hope you have been enjoying reading them as much as Adam and I have writing them. I've had a few of you reach out to me directly to comment and ask questions and that is much appreciated! Please - do get in touch if you want to chat or what advice on running / playing either of these campaigns. Or simply want to chat and let us know how you've been using the models in your games! We love hearing from you guys! Remember - D&D is a social game!
And speaking of posts, I am happy to announce that we have reach 100 blog posts! Woohoo! Ok, technically, this is the 101st post (not Dalmatians ...) but either way, its a milestone we are proud to have reached and we are hoping to continue to bring you more and more content as the year progress.
Speaking of new content, I am excited to comment on some of the new stuff we've been working on and I have to give give some mentions and thanks to some people.
First of all, I have to thank Emily who owns and operates EHG Media Management - she has been a superstar for us as our Social Media Consultant. She is helping us / me grow our presence online and generate more exciting posts and trying to reach a wider audience. I really have to hand it to her as she really has worked closely with me to learn about all this craziness and really dive headfirst into it and help. I'm really so grateful for her help and advice and support and I hope you are liking the more regular posts that she is managing for us. I still do posts myself of course, but its too much for me to handle on my own so she is a superstar helper and with the feedback we're getting, it looks like the community is liking them as well. We'll continue to work together and generate more content and see what else we can work on. So I am super happy to have a Social Media Kobold helping out!
Speaking of Kobolds, I am happy to announce another Kobold is helping us out too. I'm also super excited to say that one of Adam's daughter's is helping to create some videos which have been recently posted (the videos about our Mitz & Simz Character Cards and the big end boss encounter of the last RotF session). Its super exciting to help support her as she learns new skills and apply them in fun and creative ways. D&D is a great avenue for kids of all ages (even us big kids too!) to express themselves and I am happy to support them with the content they help to create. D&D is for everyone. I'm looking forward to the additional videos and other content she'll create and we'll hope you'll enjoy them too!
Kobolds are great helpers, amiright? :-)
Speaking of Adam's daughters, we had a one shot dungeon crawl session back in January that Adam ran for the three of us and it was a great blast! Our three heroes started off captured, locked in a prison cell, but we managed to escape and then through the crawl we confronted an Evil Wizard and his guard who captured us and ultimately squared off against a Red Dragon. All in all, it was a blast and everyone had fun. So thanks to Adam for running the game and thanks to his kids for letting me share in the adventure and congrats to us for slaying the Dragon and getting all the loot!
We continue to add items regularly and our artists continue to make new awesome models and we are more or less up to date with adding them up so always make sure to check out the New Items section for the latest items.
We've added new stock into the Petticoat Emporium here in Folkestone, so please if you are in town, please go check them out and see all the great vendors in there - such a varied and eclectic collections of good - there is something for everyone.
Just in February, we just launched our first giveaway just in times for Valentine's! Its only been one day and the reactions so far has been great, so we hope it continues to go well and I'm looking forward to announcing our winner. And I am hoping to do this regularly so keep an eye out and get your entry in to give you a chance to win the items for giveaway.
Adam and I are slowly getting back into painting more items so keep an eye out for more updates in our Image Gallery.
And we have a lot of wild stuff prepped for each of our campaigns (ToD & RotF) this year so stay tuned for updates on those in the coming weeks / months. We are really looking forward to them!
I'm also looking to try a few other different things so keep a look out for those new posts in the near future!
That's it for now and in closing I'll include some pictures of my organised dice (you can never have enough dice!). :-)
Until next time!
Happy continued painting and gaming!
-Pete (& Mitz & Simz)
