Mitz & Simz Encounter Tracker! Mitz & Simz Encounter Tracker!

Hello & Welcome!

We are really excited to also post here about the Mitz & Simz D&D Encounter Tracker that we have created!

If you've not seen the video on our YouTube channel or on Instagram, please watch the video here:

I don't want to repeat everything already stated in the video. But I do want to encourage you to take a look for yourself. You can access the tool here:

Mitz & Simz D&D Encounter Tracker

It is a tool we are quite passionate about and have already gotten a lot of good feedback from the community and we hope you will give it a try and that it can really enhance your sessions by streamlining the combat encounters.

And we use it in our games as well.

Its our way to give something back to the community.

We plan to add some additional videos and tutorials on YouTube and Socials to help give a better view of all the features of the tool so please keep an eye out as we generate the content. But I do hope that it is intuitive enough to use straight away but if you get stuck and what some reference information straight away, then please check out the User Guide we have created for it as well:

Mitz & Simz D&D Encounter Tracer User Guide

The intended audience is those DM's running in person games that roll real dice. We deliberately didn't want to create a Virtual Tabletop (VTT) and didn't want to replace all dice rolling. What we wanted to do is to make a better tool for DM's to be able to run combat encounters in a more efficient manner by having all the data, tools, and necessary features to handle a wide range of situations and scenarios that can happen during combat. We just found the other popular tools lacked key features to really provide the necessary versatility that a DM does and therefore we would waste precious time trying to get the tool to work for us.

We hope we have filled those gaps and can make running the combat more streamlined and that leaves more time for the fun stuff! TPK's! Nooooo! Just kidding - we don't want to do that (right?!?!). 😂

And we want to again thank our Beta Testers who helped us on the journey while we created it - credits are in the app in the bottom of the Help section. And we also want to acknowledge the great open source API that the Open5e community have created - this wouldn't be possible without their help.

Did you know it truly is an offline tool? All you need is to run it online once to download the data. To fully be offline, download the single HTML file from the link, save it locally, launch it once when online to sync the data with the content from open5e and then that's it - the rest you can do offline.

But we hope to explain this and much, much more in greater detail with follow-up content.

Please send us your feedback - new features, bugs, success stories of how it has helped improve your sessions - we always love to hear from the community.

And this tool is free for everyone to use. But if you feel it has really helped you and you really enjoy using it, then please consider making a small donation. Or, in between sessions, follow the link on the tool to our site and have a browse for some more minis to order. :-)

You can buy us a dice set or Mitz & Simz some yummy treats (they love treats!) here if you wish to donate.

Keep an eye out for more information about this tool hopefully soon!

Until next time, Happy Painting, Happy Gaming, and Happy Encounters!

-Pete (& Mitz & Simz 🐾🐈‍⬛🎲)
