Description

Once a terror of the mountain passes, this wyvern met its end somewhere foul — and whatever dark will animates it now has decided it isn't finished hunting.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Zombie Wyvern is a grotesque triumph of necromantic will over dragonkind. Where a living wyvern is sleek muscle and predatory speed, this one bears the bloated, pockmarked hide of something long dead — pustules and rot mapped across its torso, its wings still broad and leathery enough to carry it aloft on dark business. The sculpt captures the creature mid-roar, chest thrown open, jaws wide, wings splayed back in that unmistakable posture of a creature that has no concept of self-preservation because there is no self left to preserve. The barbed tail curls behind it, coiled and ready, and the clawed feet are braced as though it's just landed — or is about to lunge.

It's the details that make this sculpt sing for painters: the necrotic pitting of the skin, the ridge of dorsal spines running the length of the neck, the tension in the wing membranes. Whether you want to lean into deep greens and purples with swamp-gas OSL, or go pale and bleached like something that's been dead in a desert for a century, the surface texture gives you everything you need to work with.

MZ4250 is well known across the TTRPG community for producing a vast library of faithful, game-ready sculpts that translate classic monster manual entries into miniatures with genuine character. The Zombie Wyvern is a fine example — recognisable, purposeful, and packed with paintable detail.

Suits adventurers who:

  • Need an undead draconic threat that reads clearly across the gaming table
  • Want a centrepiece monster for a necromancer's aerial cavalry encounter
  • Are building out a campaign involving dragon cults, death knights, or corrupted wilderness
  • Enjoy a challenging paint project with varied textures and a dramatic silhouette
  • Collect undead creatures for display as well as play

Encounter Hook: The party crests a ridge above a valley they were told is safe passage — and there it is, circling low over the treeline. Not a wyvern, exactly. The wingbeats are wrong. Too slow. Too heavy. And as it banks towards them in the dying light, they can see the rot, the open mouth, the barbed tail dragging like it's forgotten what it's for. Whoever sent it knows they're here. And it isn't alone.
