  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 01 of our Zombie Hook Horror range, and it is a genuinely unsettling piece of work. The sculpt captures a Hook Horror mid-reanimate: that familiar hunched silhouette is still there — spiked carapace, beak twisted into a permanent snarl, great scything talons — but something has gone deeply wrong with whatever once lived inside it. The torso has split open, viscera spilling loose in ropy coils, and the cracked, necrotic hide tells a story of rot that hasn't slowed it down one bit. It lumbers forward on scaled, clawed feet with the grim patience of something that no longer feels pain and no longer needs to hurry.

For Dungeon Masters, this miniature earns its place far beyond a simple undead encounter. It works brilliantly as the product of a necromancer who has been experimenting on Underdark creatures, a corrupted guardian of a long-dead drow noble's tomb, or the centrepiece of a truly harrowing random encounter in the deep tunnels. Equally at home on a display shelf as it is anchoring a battle map, the level of sculpted surface detail — from the layered bone plates to the rope-like entrails — rewards careful painting and looks striking even left in its raw state.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run Underdark or dungeon-crawl campaigns and want monsters with genuine threat on the table
  • Are building a necromancer villain's menagerie of reanimated aberrations
  • Enjoy painting challenging textures — decayed carapace, exposed viscera, cracked beak
  • Collect display-quality creature miniatures alongside their gaming pieces

Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of claw marks — each gouge a foot apart, each pair twelve feet wide — deeper into the Underdark. When they find the source, it is not a living Hook Horror but something worse: three of them, moving in slow unison, the clicking of their talons replaced by a wet, dragging silence. Whatever intelligence once guided these creatures is long gone. What remains is hunger, preserved perfectly in death.
