  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

The Yulewing is a charming piece from Great Grimoire's Snowbound Mysteries collection — a beautifully sculpted bat hanging inverted from a decorative ring, wings half-furled, face peering downward with quiet menace. Two variants are included in this listing: one showing the bat face-on with wings spread and leathery membrane detail visible, and a second showing the dorsal view with fur texture across the body. Both are rendered with exceptional anatomical care — knuckled wing joints, clawed feet gripping the ring, and a rounded, expressive snout that sits somewhere between familiar and unsettling.

As scatter terrain or a display piece, the Yulewing lends itself beautifully to cave ceilings, vampire lord lairs, enchanted winter forests, or the eerie rafters of a frost-touched cathedral. Equally, it would make a delightful holiday-themed collectible for any adventurer who likes their festive décor with a touch of the uncanny.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Want evocative scatter terrain for cavern or undead-themed encounters
  • Are building a Ravenloft, frost-touched, or gothic winter campaign setting
  • Collect seasonal or thematic fantasy miniatures for display
  • Need a swarm bat token, familiar marker, or atmospheric prop for their table

Encounter Hook:
The party has spent the night in an abandoned hunting lodge deep in the frozen Thornwood. At dawn, they notice a ring of frost on the ceiling — and beneath it, a row of Yulewing bats roosting unnaturally still. One of them has a tiny silver band around its leg, engraved with the crest of a noble house that supposedly burned to the ground sixty years ago.

This miniature is scaled to 35mm. If you'd prefer a different scale, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate you. A decorative base option is available — if selected, please include a note specifying which of the three base styles you'd like. Bases are supplied separately and attach easily with a drop of glue.
