Young Mushroom by La Louve 3D
Description
It grins with far too many teeth for something that has never, to anyone's knowledge, actually been angry — and that is precisely what makes it so unsettling.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Young Mushroom is a compact, chibi-style Myconid sculpt with a genuinely unnerving charm. Its oversized domed cap — striated like dried reeds — droops low over a wide, skull-like face packed with blocky, mismatched teeth. Tiny warty arms press close to its sides, and its squat stalk body tapers to a textured base that suggests it has simply grown up out of the earth and decided to stay. Whether you intend it as a Myconid sprout, a fey fungal familiar, or a creature from some forgotten corner of the Underdark, this sculpt brings personality in abundance.
For Dungeon Masters, this is the kind of miniature that rewards curiosity — place it at the edge of a dim cavern encounter and watch your players debate whether it is friend, foe, or something else entirely. For collectors and painters, the clearly defined surface detail across the cap, face, and body gives excellent contrast to work with, and the chibi proportions make it a striking centrepiece on any shelf.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Run Underdark or Feywild-themed campaigns and want distinctive fungal folk
- Need a Myconid sprout, spore servant, or odd little NPC to populate a colony
- Love chibi-style sculpts that still carry genuine character and tabletop presence
- Collect and display miniatures alongside more traditional fantasy figures
Encounter Hook:
The party follows a trail of bioluminescent spores deep into a cavern network, and at the end of it — sitting perfectly still, grinning at nothing — is this. It has not moved in what the locals estimate to be three days. When the rogue gets within five feet, it turns its head, very slowly, and says one word in a language none of them speak.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces, designed to be attached with a small amount of glue — the sculpt is shaped to interact naturally with its base, so we recommend using it. Arrives ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box as an unpainted gaming piece.
