Black dragons are among the most sadistic of chromatic dragonkind — and this one is only young. These two sculpts from Novaminis capture the Young Black Dragon at its most theatrically dangerous: coiled low and snarling in pose 01, wings half-furled like a predator about to lunge, and fully airborne in pose 02, both wings stretched to their full span with one clawed foreleg reaching forward as though mid-pounce. Every scale, every ridge of bone along the spine, every hooked wingtip is rendered with the kind of anatomical specificity that makes this creature feel genuinely alive on your table.
Black dragons revel in ambushes and slow cruelty — and both poses reflect that character perfectly. Pose 01 is low, grounded, and coiled with threat; pose 02 is all momentum and wingspan, suited to a dramatic swoop encounter over a ruined fortress or flooded dungeon. Together they give a Dungeon Master the flexibility to represent the same creature across multiple stages of a single fight.
