This is no ordinary yeti. Where most depictions of the creature lean into simple brute force, this sculpt carries something altogether more menacing — a horned, shaggy predator caught mid-lurch, massive hands splayed across a craggy rock base as it hauls itself forward. The thick, layered fur is rendered with exceptional texture across the entire body, from the dense mane around the shoulders and chest down to the coarser, matted covering of the legs and arms. Iron shackle cuffs bite into both wrists, hinting at a creature once caged — and recently freed.
The face is where this sculpt earns its place on the table. Beneath a pair of curved, ribbed horns sits a snarling muzzle drawn back to expose a full row of teeth, wide nostrils flared, and deep-set eyes locked forward with predatory focus. The expression lands somewhere between animal fury and something more calculating — this is not a beast that stumbled into your party's path by accident.
Rated as a large-sized miniature by Epic Miniatures, this piece sits noticeably taller and wider than a standard 32mm figure, making it a commanding presence on any encounter grid. The rocky base integrates naturally with highland, cave, or arctic terrain, and the low crouching posture means it fits under typical dungeon doorframes while still reading as enormous.
This variation (as pictured) presents the yeti without any hand weapon — the threat here is the creature itself, raw and barely restrained. The iron restraints add a rich narrative detail: where did it come from? Who was foolish enough to cage it? And why, now, is it heading straight for the party?
This miniature works brilliantly for adventurers who:
- Need a large, high-impact creature for arctic, mountain, or underground encounters
- Want a monster with strong narrative hooks built into the sculpt itself
- Are running encounters involving escaped experiments, corrupted beasts, or cursed creatures
- Paint and collect large creature minis as display pieces
- Want a yeti that reads as genuinely threatening rather than cartoonishly large
Encounter Hook: The mining camp at the base of the Greyveil Pass has gone silent. When the party reaches the site, they find cages torn open from the inside, iron chain links scattered across frozen ground, and enormous tracks leading toward the main road. Whatever the miners were keeping in that camp has escaped — and it is heading downhill toward the nearest settlement, fast.
