Xorn 01 by Yasashii Kyojin Studios
Description
Something beneath the tunnel floor shifts — then the stone itself rises, hungry, bristling with spines, and entirely unconcerned by your presence.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
The Xorn is one of D&D's most distinctive Elemental threats: a creature that doesn't stalk the shadows or lurk in ambush, but simply emerges from solid rock as though it were water. This sculpt captures that physicality brilliantly — the body is a dense mass of overlapping stone-like plates and jutting spines, the powerful arms raised mid-lurch, and the sheer bulk of the creature communicates both its strength and its alien nature. At 36mm tall it looms with genuine presence over 32mm-scale adventurers on the battlemat.
Xorns make compelling encounter pieces for Dungeon Masters running Underdark campaigns, Elemental Plane adventures, or any scenario where the party needs reminding that the ground itself is not safe. Equally at home on a display shelf, the layered texture of the sculpt rewards careful drybrushing or contrast paint work — the ridged plates and protruding spines catch paint beautifully.
A fine addition for adventurers who:
- Need a solid Underdark or Elemental Plane encounter piece
- Want a boss-tier monster that looks distinctive on the battlemat
- Enjoy a sculpt with rich surface texture that rewards painting
- Are building a display collection of classic D&D 5e monsters
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to escort a mining crew deep beneath the Ironspine Mountains. Three days in, the miners begin disappearing overnight — no screams, no blood, just absence. On the fourth night, a dwarf geologist points to the tunnel wall and whispers: the stone is warm here, and it wasn't warm yesterday.
