Wyverns Standing by MZ4250
Description
The shadow falls before the sound — wings blocking the sun a full second before the roar splits the valley air.
- ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
This is the wyvern at its most primal: rearing up on powerful haunches, both wings flung wide in full threat display, head thrown back and jaws stretched open in a challenge that leaves no ambiguity. The sculpt captures the creature mid-roar — bony wing membranes ribbed with fine anatomical detail, scales layered across the neck and underbelly, and a whip-thin barbed tail curling behind it. The horned head and predatory stance make it immediately readable on the tabletop, even from across the room. This is a creature that has never needed to hide what it is.
Often confused with true dragons but distinct in their own right, wyverns are amongst the most dangerous apex predators in the fantasy wilderness — no arcane ability, no parley, no mercy. They are CR 6 threats that feel like CR 10 the moment you put one of these on the table. Whether you're running a mountain encounter, a coastal raid, or a warlord's trained war-beast, this mini carries the weight of the moment.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding boss monster for a wilderness or mountain encounter
- Are building a dragon or monster collection for their display shelf
- Want a warlord's trained wyvern mount as a centrepiece NPC
- Are painting large-winged creatures and want strong surface detail to work with
Encounter Hook:
The mercenary captain said the wyvern nest had been cleared — she was paid well to say so. Now the party stands at the mouth of the canyon, three days from the nearest settlement, and something above the ridge-line is circling lower with every pass.
Scaled to 32mm. The miniature is supplied as a single piece attached to a round base, as visible in the render. Supplied unpainted and ready for priming — use as-is for quick encounters or take your time with a full paint job for the display shelf. Some minor imperfections from the print process are possible; any residual marks are easily tidied up before painting.
