Description

It came from the mountain pass at dusk — no roar, no warning, just the crack of leathery wings folding as something enormous dropped from the clouds.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

Wyverns occupy a particular corner of D&D's bestiary: not the scheming ancient wyrm hoarding gold beneath a mountain, but something rawer and more instinctual — a predator that hits like a freight cart and poisons everything it doesn't immediately crush. This sculpt by MZ4250 captures that airborne menace beautifully. The wyvern is caught mid-flight, wings spread wide and catching air, claws forward and jaws parted — a creature fully committed to the dive. The serpentine tail curls behind it, the ridged spine adds texture, and the overall silhouette reads instantly as a threat your players will not soon forget. Equally at home on the table mid-encounter or on a display shelf between sessions.

The pose translates brilliantly to both gaming use and collection display — this is the kind of centrepiece that earns a permanent spot on the shelf even when the campaign is done.

Particularly well-suited for adventurers who:

  • Need a mid-tier flying monster that feels genuinely dangerous
  • Are running mountain passes, coastal cliffs, or open-air encounters
  • Want a D&D 5e Wyvern with presence on the table
  • Are building a painted display collection of classic monsters
  • Want a memorable visual for a poison-themed encounter

Encounter Hook:
The merchant caravan was three days out of Ironwatch when the mule train stopped dead — every animal refusing to move. Then the scout pointed upward, and there it was: a wyvern circling low and slow above the canyon rim, stinger raised, clearly deciding whether the wagons were worth the effort. The party has maybe two rounds before it makes up its mind.

Scaled to 32mm. The flying pose is supplied with a separate floating base so the wyvern can be posed dynamically above the battlefield. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor surface marks are occasionally possible and easily tidied up before priming. Supplied unpainted and fully cured, ready for your brushwork.
