The Serpe-Wyvern is a creature that defies easy classification: part coiling serpent, part winged draconic predator, wholly dangerous. This sculpt from Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range captures it mid-threat — great horned head thrown back, taloned forelimbs raised, leathery wings flared wide, while its serpentine lower body loops across a rubble-strewn base. The surface detail is exceptional: overlapping scale rows shift in texture from smooth belly plates to rough dorsal ridges, and the horned crown of the skull gives it the look of something that has survived far longer than it should have.
Three distinct sculpts are available in this range, each capturing a different attitude — from the coiled-and-rearing pose clutching a glowing crystal shard, to the full frontal wing-spread stance, to a lower profile crouched and ready to lunge. Each sits on a richly detailed scenic base scattered with rocks, foliage, and debris. Whether you use it as a campaign boss, a lair guardian, or a showpiece on your display shelf, this is a miniature with genuine presence.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable dragon-adjacent boss for D&D 5e or other TTRPG systems
- Are building a Arthurian-flavoured or high fantasy campaign setting
- Want a large creature miniature that doubles as a display centrepiece
- Enjoy painting detailed scale textures, horn structures, and wing membranes
Encounter Hook:
The merchant's cart was found overturned on the road to Camelot — horses gone, cargo untouched. A trail of crushed stone and scorched earth leads up into the crags, and from somewhere above, the party can hear the slow, rhythmic sound of something very large breathing in its sleep.
