This is the second sculpt in Novaminis' Wyvern series, and where the first pose may differ in stance, this variant captures the creature mid-confrontation — body low to the ground, forelimbs braced, jaws wide open in a hissing threat display, and those enormous leathery wings flared high and wide above its spine. The sculpt reads aggression from every angle: the ridge of dorsal spines running from neck to tail, the powerful scaled legs tipped with hooked claws, and the barbed wing-spurs that jut from the leading edges of each wing membrane. The tail curves behind it with clear intent.

Viewed from above or the side, the wingspan dominates — broad membranes with visible tension lines and ribbed struts, rendered with the kind of surface texture that rewards careful drybrushing or airbrushing. The underside of the wings shows subtle colour gradients even in the unprimed render, suggesting this sculpt will respond beautifully to contrast paints or glazes. The head is particularly well-executed: deep-set eyes, an open maw showing rows of teeth, and a broad angular skull with pronounced brow ridges that give it genuine menace.

This is a Large creature by D&D standards — bigger than your standard 32mm infantry piece — and it commands the table accordingly. Whether you're running it as a territorial monster in a mountain pass, a warlord's trained weapon, or the climactic threat of a wilderness hex, it holds its own on the encounter map.
