Description

Small enough to be overlooked, strange enough to be remembered — the Wynling watches from its perch with wide eyes and wings half-spread, deciding whether you are a threat or simply beneath its notice.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Wynling is one of those creatures that sits right at the edge of cute and unsettling — and that tension is exactly what makes it so compelling on the table. Sculpted by Monster Atlas, this miniature depicts a tiny, mouse-like fey being with broad, membranous bat wings, oversized glassy eyes, long clawed fingers, and a whip-thin tail curling behind it. It crouches atop a rough stone, wings extended, alert and watchful — equal parts familiar spirit, woodland sprite, and something altogether more unnerving.

Whether you use it as a Feywild creature, a warlock's familiar, a strange woodland omen, or a mysterious NPC encountered in a cursed glade, the Wynling has an unmistakable presence. The sculpt captures remarkable surface detail — the ribbed wing membranes, the textured stone base, the sinuous curve of the tail — making it as rewarding to paint as it is to place on the table. Equally at home in a display cabinet as it is mid-encounter.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Run Feywild campaigns or encounters with fey creatures
  • Want a characterful familiar or unsettling woodland NPC
  • Enjoy painting small creatures with distinctive textures and character
  • Are building a display collection of unusual fantasy miniatures

Encounter Hook:
The party's ranger spots it first — a small winged shape perched motionless on a mossy boulder at the crossroads, staring at them without blinking. It hasn't moved in ten minutes. When the bard tries to speak to it, it tilts its head slowly to one side, opens its mouth, and says — in a voice far too calm — "You shouldn't have come this way."
