The Wretched Snowman is no jolly seasonal spirit. This large-format bust depicts a snarling, fang-filled horror with deep-set eyes radiating malice, a hide bristling with bone spurs, and a heavy chain coiled around its body like a trophy — or a threat. Jagged, leafless antler-like growths erupt from the crown of its head, giving it the silhouette of something that clawed its way up from a frozen underworld. Every inch of this sculpt rewards a brush: the interlocking chainmail links, the coarse-textured flesh, the rows of irregular teeth in that gaping jaw, and the cracked stone base all offer a painter exceptional range to work with.
