Description

The cart lies tilted on a broken wheel, its canopy torn and its goods long since looted — whatever happened here, it happened fast.

  • ✔ Resin terrain piece, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — primes and paints easily
  • ✔ Compatible with standard 28mm–32mm miniature scales
  • ✔ Works on the gaming table and as part of a display diorama

This is the Wrecked Market Cart 01, the first variant in Novaminis' wrecked cart range. It's a richly detailed piece of scatter terrain depicting a once-proud covered merchant's cart now reduced to wreckage — panels splintered, ironwork bent, and the whole frame listing at a precarious angle. The sculpt captures the kind of chaotic aftermath you'd find in the wake of a city brawl, a goblin raid, or a runaway horse — and every cracked plank and buckled wheel speaks to a story that happened just before your players arrived.

With a barrel-vaulted canopy, ornate ironwork detailing, chunky wooden wheels, and visible structural damage across all four sides, this piece rewards painters who love to work with washes and chipping effects. It reads just as well unpainted on a bare battle map, where the silhouette alone tells the story. Equally at home on a gaming table or displayed in a diorama, it's the sort of terrain piece that makes adventurers stop and ask what happened.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Run town, market district, or road encounter maps and need convincing scatter terrain
  • Want to establish a sense of recent violence or upheaval without narrating every detail
  • Enjoy painting terrain with weathering techniques — washes, drybrushing, and chipping effects
  • Are building diorama scenes or display boards set in a fantasy urban environment

Encounter Hook:
The party turns a corner into the Copper Lane market district and finds the stalls deserted — except for this cart, overturned and smouldering, its lockbox prised open and empty. A trail of scattered coin leads into the alleyway beyond. Someone cleaned this place out in a hurry, and the merchant who owns it is nowhere to be found.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base ships unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. Supports are removed before dispatch; as with all detailed terrain pieces, minor marks from the printing process may occasionally be present and are easily tidied up with a craft knife or fine sandpaper. The piece is fully cured and ready to prime.
