The Wraith Mother Fly is a large-scale undead horror sculpted with extraordinary attention to the macabre. Mounted on a 51mm base and towering over standard miniatures, she commands immediate attention on any tabletop. Her emaciated, mummified face is frozen in a silent scream — jaw wrenched open, hollow eye sockets staring — while long, matted white hair trails behind her like a shroud caught in a cursed gale.
In her right arm — skeletal and bound in aged wrappings — she wields a spine-ribbed bone scythe topped with a grinning skull finial. The shaft itself is composed of vertebrae and curved bones, clearly harvested from those who came before. Her left hand reaches out with grasping, claw-like fingers, as though mid-incantation. Around her waist, additional skulls and bone fragments hang as trophies or components for dark ritual. Her tattered robes billow dramatically, torn at the hem in jagged, feather-like ribbons that give the impression she hovers just above the rubble of a ruined tomb.
The base itself is richly sculpted with broken stone, debris, and small rocky outcroppings — lending the whole piece a sense of dramatic scale and environmental storytelling that makes her as compelling on a display shelf as she is anchoring a deadly encounter on the tabletop.
Brought to life by the following adventurers:
- Dungeon Masters building a climactic undead boss encounter in a cursed crypt or haunted ruin
- Collectors seeking a centrepiece mini with genuine presence and painting depth
- Players running a necromancer-adjacent villain arc who need a visually distinct antagonist
- Hobbyists who want a sculpt that rewards layered, detail-oriented painting across robes, bone, and skin
Encounter Hook: The party has tracked the source of a village's missing dead to an overgrown burial mound on the moor. As the last torch sputters out, the Wraith Mother Fly rises from the central barrow — bones clicking, robes splitting the fog — and declares, in a voice like cracking ice, that the party's own bones were promised to her long before they were born.
