The Wooden Construct Golem is a hulking, rough-hewn automaton assembled from thick planks of timber, lashed together with coils of heavy rope and reinforced with iron bolts and mechanical joints. Its body is barrel-chested and broad, the wood grain texture running across every surface — from its stumpy, rope-wrapped legs to its wide plank torso. Criss-crossing rope bonds hold the body together in a tightly wound X-pattern across the chest, lending it an improvised, menacing quality that sets it apart from polished arcane constructs.

Both arms end in clusters of bladed iron — curved and serrated, mounted on articulated metal limbs — while the hands are formed from bundles of thick wooden dowels wrapped in rope, giving the impression of a creature that could crush or slash with equal ease. The small, simple face sits atop the body with two hollow eye sockets, conveying nothing but relentless, programmed purpose. This is not a golem built by a wizard in a tower; it was made by someone practical, resourceful, and probably dangerous.

On the tabletop, the Wooden Construct Golem works brilliantly as a mid-tier guardian encounter — a CR 5 or higher construct protecting a sawmill, a frontier warlord's compound, or a druid-gone-wrong's woodland sanctuary.
