Wizard 01 by Novaminis

He doesn't recite spells from the safety of the back line — he walks into the fire, spellbook open, staff raised, daring the world to test him.

• ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
• ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
• ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
• ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 01 of Novaminis' Human Male Wizard range, and it's a distinctly physical take on the arcane arts. Rather than the robed scholar hunched over a lectern, this wizard is built like a man who's survived the field. He strides forward with purpose — one hand holding an open tome, the other gripping a long orb-topped staff slung back over his shoulder. A short blade rides at his hip beneath a flowing long coat, and a crest or medallion sits at his open collar. His expression is focused, his posture commanding: this is a wizard who doesn't wait for the enemy to come to him.

The sculpt has excellent detail across the coat's tailored lapels and belt, the well-worn boots, and the distinctive curled hair of a man who has long since stopped caring what academies think of him. He works equally well as a player character wizard — perhaps an Abjurer or Transmuter who prefers close-quarters casting — or as a memorable NPC: a war mage, a rogue arcanist, or an imposing quest-giver with secrets written between the pages of that tome.

Suited to adventurers who:

• Want a wizard mini that reads as physically confident and battle-ready
• Are running a player character who blends arcane and martial instincts
• Need an NPC arcanist, academy rival, or morally ambiguous mage for their campaign
• Collect characterful humanoid miniatures for display as well as the tabletop

Encounter Hook:
The party's contact at the Mage's Quarter turns out to be this figure — coatless, bleeding from one shoulder, tome clutched open in his hand. "Don't ask," he says, already reading. "I need you to buy me three minutes. There's something in the alley that doesn't like fire." He says this as though he's already cast all of his fire spells.
