Details
This is a display bust of a winged demon in a pose of raw, barely-contained menace. The sculpt captures him mid-snarl, jaw stretched wide to reveal rows of jagged teeth, long hair falling across broad armoured shoulders, and a single sweeping horn curving upward from his brow. Claw-like scars are etched across his torso — not wounds, but trophies worn into the flesh. The heavy pauldrons and layered armour plate speak to centuries of warfare, and his expression reads less as fury than as absolute contempt. This is a creature that has seen empires fall and found it mildly entertaining.
As a display bust, this piece is designed to showcase the painter's craft — the depth of those scarred muscle groups, the texture of the hair, the contrast between raw skin and worn metal all reward careful brushwork. For Dungeon Masters, he makes a compelling visual centrepiece for a BBEG reveal, a demon lord patron, or a powerful fiend pulled from the depths of the Abyss. Place him on your shelf, and he will watch the room.
Well-suited to adventurers who:
- Paint display busts and want a subject with dramatic expression and layered texture
- Are building a fantasy villain or fiend collection for the shelf
- Need a powerful visual anchor for a demon lord, Abyssal warlord, or infernal patron in their campaign
- Want a striking conversation piece at the gaming table or in a display cabinet
Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the cult to its sanctum — and there, enthroned on a dais of charred bone, sits the thing the cultists have been feeding for months. It does not rise to greet them. It simply turns its head, opens its mouth, and the rogue at the back of the party makes their first failed Wisdom saving throw of what will become a very long night.
This bust is printed at display scale on a decorative stepped stone plinth base. It is supplied unpainted and grey, ready for priming and painting. Supports are removed prior to dispatch, and each piece is fully cured and quality checked before leaving the studio.
