Ser Ludwig, Will of Horauthin, is the sculpt you reach for when a campaign needs a knight who carries the full weight of a holy order. Clad in heavily engraved full plate — crusader crosses etched across his breastplate, chainmail at the throat, and a broad kite shield worked with devotional iconography strapped across his back — he stands on a rubble-strewn battlefield base littered with dead roots and shattered earth. His massive two-handed sword rests point-down beside him as he raises one fist in a gesture that reads equally as benediction or warning. The billowing cloak, trimmed with scrollwork along its hem, sweeps dramatically behind him, giving the whole piece a sense of wind-caught momentum even in stillness.

Whether he's a Paladin PC who has taken the Oath of Devotion and never once wavered, a zealous NPC commander leading the charge in your crusade-themed arc, or a fallen champion on the cusp of becoming an Oathbreaker — Ser Ludwig carries the narrative gravitas to hold any of those roles at the table. The level of detail across his armour, from the riveted pauldrons to the layered faulds at his waist, makes him equally compelling as a display piece for collectors who appreciate serious historical-fantasy armour design.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Play Paladins, Fighters, or Oath-bound holy warriors
  • Want a named NPC crusader commander or rival knight
  • Are running a holy war, religious faction, or crusade-themed campaign arc
  • Collect finely detailed human knight miniatures for display

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the besieged monastery to find a single knight standing amid the wreckage — helm on, sword planted, a dozen bodies around him. Ser Ludwig slowly turns, raises one fist, and says only: "Who sent you?" Whether his answer puts them at ease depends entirely on what they say next.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The decorative scenic base is included and fits closely with the model — some figures interact with the base in ways that make the two pieces best used together, attached with a small amount of superglue. Printed to a high standard with fine detail throughout; supports are removed before dispatch, though minor marks from the printing process can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before painting. Arrives unpainted and ready to prime.
