White dragon wyrmlings are deceptively dangerous — small enough to be underestimated, but possessed of a savage cunning and breath that can freeze flesh solid. This sculpt by Epic Miniatures captures that menace beautifully. The wyrmling is posed low and predatory, belly close to the ground, wings spread wide as though caught mid-lunge or readying to launch skyward. Every scale on the stocky body is individually textured, the broad domed head — with its bulging reptilian eye and spiked skull — turned to fix its prey with a calculating, cold stare.
The tail curls up and behind in a striking ridged column, adding height and drama to the silhouette. The wings, veined and leathery, splay outward to give the model real presence on the table despite the medium base size (25.5mm). This is a creature that looks like it belongs in a glacier cave or a frost-covered mountain pass — equally threatening whether you're running it as an early campaign encounter or placing it in a display scene alongside larger draconic kin.
This variation is the crouching, wings-spread pose — a distinct sculpt from other wyrmling variants, and one that works brilliantly as the focal point of an arctic lair encounter.
This miniature is a great fit for adventurers who:
- Are running arctic or mountain wilderness encounters in their campaign
- Want a wyrmling-scale dragon that still commands the table
- Are building a dragon lair diorama or a creature-focused display collection
- Need a mid-campaign draconic threat with real visual presence
- Are collectors drawn to the reptilian detail and dynamic sculpt quality of Epic Miniatures' creature range
Encounter Hook: The party tracks a missing shepherd to the foothills above the village, following a trail of frost-scorched grass and shattered ice. As they squeeze through a narrow pass between two glacial boulders, they hear the scrape of claws on stone — and then the wyrmling drops from the ledge above, wings cracking open, already exhaling a cone of frozen air before they can raise their shields.
