Whisper of the Strings is one of the most evocative undead sculpts we've encountered — equal parts horrifying and hauntingly beautiful. The harpist stands in flowing robes, its exposed ribcage and skeletal hands contrasting against the draped cloth. The instrument itself is a centrepiece: a grand macabre harp whose frame wraps in coiled tendrils, flanked by a screaming horned skull at the top and scattered human skulls at the base. A spiked crown or sun-like halo of bone adorns the figure's head, giving it the air of a cursed deity or undead herald rather than a simple skeleton.

This is a character that demands a story. Whether it serves a lich lord as court musician, haunts the ruins of a fallen concert hall, or is the avatar of a death god's will made manifest in music, Whisper of the Strings commands the table the moment it appears. The 35mm scale brings extraordinary detail to every component — the individual harp strings, the skull motifs on the base rim, the trailing cloak. As much at home on a display shelf as on an encounter map.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a striking undead NPC or boss monster for a gothic or Ravenloft-style campaign
  • Want a centrepiece mini that doubles as a collector's display piece
  • Are building a necromancer's court or a death-cult encounter with real visual impact
  • Play or DM horror-adjacent TTRPG sessions where atmosphere matters as much as mechanics

Encounter Hook:
The party follows the sound of music deep into the ruins of the Monastery of the Silent Bell — and finds the source: a skeletal harpist seated at the altar, its hollow eye sockets fixed on them as the final note fades. It tilts its crowned skull slowly and speaks: "You arrived just in time for the second movement." The doors behind them seal shut.

This miniature is scaled to 35mm. If you'd prefer 32mm scaling, send us a message and we'll do our best to accommodate. A decorative base option is available — if you select it, please include a note letting us know which of the three base styles you'd like. The base (decorative or plain) is supplied separately for easy attachment.
