The Werewolf Blue Dragonborn is one of tabletop's most unsettling hybrids: the proud, scale-armoured lineage of the Blue Dragonborn warped beyond recognition by a lycanthropic curse. This sculpt captures the creature mid-stalk — hunched forward, clawed hands spread wide, jaws parted, and every ridge of draconic scale now framing something that has entirely lost its mind to the beast within. The horn is still there. The scales are still there. But the dragonborn who once carried them is long gone.
For Dungeon Masters running Ravenloft campaigns, wilderness horror arcs, or tales of cursed bloodlines, this miniature brings a genuinely distinctive presence to the table. It's equally at home as a tragic NPC the party knew before the curse took hold, or as a monstrous encounter that forces players to ask whether anything of the original person remains. For painters and display collectors, the layered surface detail — scales over muscle, spines along the shoulders, ragged claws on both hands and feet — offers a deeply rewarding project at 32mm scale.
A good fit for adventurers who:
- Run horror-tinged D&D 5e campaigns or Ravenloft / Curse of Strahd sessions
- Need a lycanthrope with a genuinely distinctive silhouette and racial identity
- Want a challenging and characterful painting project with layered surface textures
- Are building a collection of iconic monster variants for display or the tabletop
Encounter Hook:
The party tracks a series of violent disappearances to an isolated mining settlement — only to find that the local militia captain, a Blue Dragonborn they were sent to assist, has been locking herself in the ore vault each full moon. She knows what she becomes. She has been trying to find a cure for six months. Tonight, the moon rises early.
Details
Printed at 32mm scale and supplied as a single piece attached to its base, this miniature arrives ready for priming and painting — or can go straight to the tabletop as-is. We remove all supports before dispatch and quality-check each piece, though minor surface marks from the printing process may occasionally be present; these are easily remedied with a touch of fine sandpaper before priming.
