The Wereshark Captain is a creature of two worlds: the salt-crusted brutality of the high seas and the primal horror of lycanthropy. This sculpt captures him mid-lunge — jaws wide, muscles taut beneath a tattered coat, one hand clawing forward while the other raises a rope-wrapped blade. Chains hang from his belt, his trousers are shredded at the knee, and every detail speaks to a monster who has long since stopped pretending to be a man. The rocky rubble base grounds him in a dockside ambush or a storm-lashed deck.
For Dungeon Masters, he works brilliantly as a sea-cursed boss, a fearsome first mate transformed by a blood moon, or an ancient pirate lord whose true nature has finally surfaced. For collectors and painters, those muscular planes, layered fabric textures, and gaping rows of shark teeth offer a genuinely rewarding subject.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a memorable lycanthrope boss for a nautical or coastal campaign
- Are running a pirate-themed arc and want a creature that escalates the stakes
- Love painting detailed humanoid monster sculpts with strong character reads
- Collect D&D and TTRPG miniatures for display as well as gameplay
Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to find a missing merchant vessel — when they board the ghost ship, every crew member is locked in their cabin. The captain's door is the only one they can't open from the outside, and something enormous is breathing on the other side.
