Wererat Monstrosity by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
The sewers beneath the city have been quiet for too long — and when the guild's enforcer finally emerges, it's wearing armour stripped from a dozen unfortunate adventurers.
- ✔ Display-scale miniature — larger than standard 32mm gaming scale
- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Equally suited to display shelves and the gaming table
This is no common wererat skulking through the shadows. The Wererat Monstrosity from Witchsong Miniatures is a bruiser built for dominance — a hulking lycanthropic warlord clad in layered, riveted armour adorned with a snarling beast motif across the chest. The sculpt captures the creature mid-stride, weight shifted onto its haunches and both arms extended: a curved blade in one hand, a short cleaver in the other, and a barbed tail whipping behind it. The spiked helm sits atop a long, fanged snout thrown back in a roar, and the detailed scenic base — scattered with skulls and what appears to be a discarded cannon barrel — tells its own grim story of past victories.
Details
This is a display-scale piece as much as a combat encounter piece. The texturing on the armour plates, the articulation of the clawed feet, and the sheer physicality of the pose make it a compelling centrepiece for both the gaming table and the display shelf. It will stop your players in their tracks — which is, of course, exactly the point.
Perfect for adventurers who:
- Need a commanding BBEG or crime-lord enforcer for an Underdark or urban campaign arc
- Are running a lycanthrope-themed adventure and want a boss that reads as genuinely threatening
- Want a large-scale centrepiece miniature for their display shelf or diorama
- Enjoy painting heavily armoured monster sculpts with rich surface detail
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to shut down a smuggling ring operating beneath the merchant quarter — but the ringleader they expected turns out to be nine feet of armoured wererat who has been wearing the previous investigators' weapons as trophies. Initiative, please.
This miniature is printed at display scale — the base measures 80mm, making it substantially larger than a standard 32mm character piece. This scale has been chosen by the artist to position the Wererat Monstrosity as a boss-tier encounter piece. If you require a different scale, please get in touch and we'll see what we can arrange. The scenic base is included detached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. The model arrives cleaned, with supports removed, and fully cured — ready for priming and painting, or straight to the table unpainted.
