Wererat Monstrosity Bust by Witchsong Miniatures
Description
Bound in iron and fury, this wretched creature was once a sewer lord — now something far worse wears its face.

- ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
- ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
- ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions
This is the Wererat Monstrosity Bust from Witchsong Miniatures: a collector-grade display piece that captures a lycanthrope mid-transformation, its jaws locked open in a rattling snarl. What makes this sculpt particularly compelling is the armour — heavy riveted iron plates bolted and strapped directly onto the creature's skull and shoulders, as though some deranged artificer tried to weaponise the beast before losing control of it entirely. The exposed fangs, the layered metal panels, the studded collar banding — every surface rewards a careful painter.
As a bust rather than a full-figure miniature, this piece is built for the painting table and the display shelf. The scale and detail give you room to explore metallics, grime, OSL on the teeth, or OSL effects from below — and the expressive, open-mawed face practically demands a bold wash and highlight pass. That said, place it on the table as a prop or handout and your players will immediately understand what they're up against.
For adventurers who:
- Want a detailed bust to showcase their painting skills
- Are building a creature collection for shelf display
- Need a visceral visual prop for a lycanthropy-themed campaign arc
- Are looking for an NPC villain with serious menace — a warlord who survived something terrible
Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the abandoned Blackwater Tannery to find the gang lord Scavrix has not fled — he's been changed. Chained to a column by his own lieutenants, he turns at the sound of footsteps, iron plates grinding against one another as he strains toward the adventurers, saliva hanging from his exposed fangs. He can still speak. That's the worst part.
This bust is printed at display scale and comes mounted on a sculpted decorative plinth base as shown. Supplied unpainted and ready for your brushwork. Minor clean-up of support marks may occasionally be needed — these are easily dealt with using a hobby knife or fine sandpaper.
