Description

In the warrens beneath the city, something that once wore a human face now moves on instinct — blades drawn, back arched, ready to carve through anyone foolish enough to follow it into the dark.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 2 of our Wererat range from The Toadstool Weaver. The sculpt captures the wererat mid-combat: knees bent in a fighting crouch, one blade sweeping low while the other is raised overhead in a striking arc. The figure wears a belted tunic with wrapped lower legs, and the rat-like head — pointed snout, rounded ears, beady eyes — gives it that unsettling blend of human movement and feral instinct that makes wererats so effective as urban horrors. Whether you're running a thieves' guild twist, a sewer ambush, or a lycanthropic conspiracy through the merchant quarter, this sculpt carries the threat with real presence.

Wererats in D&D 5e are cunning shapeshifters — typically rogues, often embedded in criminal organisations, and always more dangerous than they appear. This pose leans into that aggression: this isn't a creature caught off guard, it's one that chose the moment to strike.

Suited to adventurers who:

  • Need wererat encounter miniatures for urban or Underdark sessions
  • Are running lycanthrope storylines with the Zhentarim, a thieves' guild, or a plague-touched city
  • Want a characterful rogue-type enemy mini that doubles as a display piece
  • Are collecting the full Wererat range and need pose 2

Encounter Hook:
The party is hired to track a fence who's been skimming from the guild — but when they corner him in the drainage tunnels beneath the Dock Ward, he drops the lantern, laughs in a voice that doesn't quite fit his throat, and draws two blades as the shadows around him start to writhe with movement.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black base — the base arrives unattached and can be glued on as preferred. Support marks are removed before dispatch; as with all resin printing, minor imperfections can occasionally occur and are easily tidied up before priming. Fully cured and ready for paint or play straight from the box.
