This is pose 05 of the Wererat range from Yasashii Kyojin Studios, and it is one of the most viscerally dynamic sculpts in the series. What sets this particular variant apart is its striking lion-headed silhouette — a thick, layered mane crowning a snarling, fanged face — mounted on a powerful, bipedal feline body with a long whipping tail. The creature is caught mid-lunge, torso angled forward and arms extended with vicious curved claws splayed wide, as though the transformation itself has not quite finished and the beast is already attacking. Every muscle group is rendered with anatomical conviction, from the powerful haunches to the articulated, clawed feet planted beneath it.

Whether you use this as a wererat in its hybrid form, a cursed shapeshifter mid-transformation, or a unique leonine lycanthrope variant of your own invention, this sculpt carries genuine menace on the tabletop. It is equally at home in a gritty urban underbelly campaign, a Ravenloft horror arc, or a wilderness hunt where the party's tracker has just realised the prints they've been following are no ordinary beast. Equally compelling on a display shelf as it is placed threateningly on a battle map.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a lycanthrope with a distinctive lion-hybrid look rather than the standard rat or wolf form
  • Are running horror, investigation, or transformation-themed encounters
  • Want a boss-tier beast mini that reads as dangerous from across the table
  • Collect and paint creatures with rich surface texture and dynamic posing

Encounter Hook:
The party's tracker leads them to the abandoned tannery at the edge of town — but the claw marks on the doorframe are too high, too wide, and far too deep for any rat. When the lantern light catches the shape crouched in the rafters above them, the mane is the first thing they see.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed with a small amount of glue. The sculpt arrives with supports removed; as with all hand-finished prints, minor surface marks may occasionally occur and are straightforward to clean up. Fully cured and ready for priming and painting, or display as-is.
