This is pose 02 of our Wererat range by Witchsong Miniatures, and it brings a real sense of feral aggression to the table. The sculpt captures the creature mid-lunge: a powerfully built rat-humanoid hunched forward in a threatening crouch, jaw wide open in a chittering snarl. In one clawed hand it wields a curved bone hook — a weapon that looks scavenged and vicious in equal measure — while the other clutches a broad-bladed hatchet. Spiked shoulder armour, riveted bracers, and a battered side-plate speak to a creature that has survived through cunning and violence. The textured scenic base adds depth and roots the figure in an underground or urban environment.
Wererats in D&D 5e are Humanoid lycanthropes — fast, cunning, and at home in the shadows of city underbellies. They make compelling mid-tier enemies, ambush predators, or the hidden hand behind a thieves' guild conspiracy. This pose, with its forward momentum and dual weapons, reads as a front-line brawler — a contrast to more skulking or caster-style variants. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.
Fits adventurers who:
- Need a lycanthrope enemy for an urban investigation or sewer dungeon
- Are building a thieves' guild encounter with monster muscle
- Want a characterful wererat for a Ravenloft or city-based campaign
- Collect lycanthrope miniatures for painting and display
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to find a missing city guard — but the trail leads into the sewers, where something wearing scraps of his uniform crouches over his badge and bares its teeth.

Printed at 32mm tabletop scale. The scenic base is included and arrives detached, ready to glue into place.
