Description

Half-warrior, half-arachnid horror, the Were Spider lurks at the edges of torchlight — spear raised and fangs bared — waiting for the moment your party forgets to check the ceiling.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Were Spider Spear is a large, unsettling presence on any tabletop — a humanoid torso fused to the body of a massive spider, eight bristle-tipped legs splayed wide for purchase on whatever surface it hunts across. The human half is savage and snarling, its mane of wild hair swept back, one arm thrusting a gnarled spear overhead in mid-attack, the other hand gripping a hooked weapon at its side. The spider abdomen behind is heavily textured with layered chitin plates and barbed limbs, giving the whole model a bristling, predatory silhouette that reads clearly from across the table.

Sculpted at a large scale on a 51mm base, this miniature has the physical presence to match its threat level. The layered detail — from the spear's ornate shaft and bladed tip to the feathered spines along each leg — rewards careful painting and makes this a compelling display piece as well as a formidable encounter model. Whether you reach for earthy cavern tones, venomous greens, or pale albino whites for a subterranean horror, the sculpt offers plenty of surface variation to work with.

Works equally well for adventurers building out a gaming encounter or painters looking for a centrepiece-scale challenge with genuine character.

Particularly well suited to adventurers who:

  • Need a large, impactful monster for Underdark-themed sessions
  • Run encounters involving lycanthropic or werecreature lore
  • Want a display-worthy creature that doubles as a table-ready mini
  • Are building arachnid or spider-cult themed encounters
  • Enjoy painting complex textured surfaces with multiple distinct materials

Encounter Hook

The party follows a trail of silk-wrapped bodies deep into a flooded mine shaft. At the far end, crouched atop a web-strung ore cart, the Were Spider shaman has been expecting them — it offers a trade in a voice still half-human, spear levelled at the nearest light source, and the party has exactly one round to decide whether to negotiate or flee.
