  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

The Wendigo is a creature that belongs at the edges of your map — the place where the forest stops making sense and something older begins. This sculpt captures exactly that dread. Standing on a large 51mm base, the figure is all sinew and hunger: long, grasping limbs splayed wide, clawed hands reaching forward as if mid-lunge, and a great rack of branching antlers erupting from a broad, scale-edged skull. The jaw hangs open, packed with jagged teeth, and a single cyclopean eye sits above the maw. Tattered hide wraps loosely around the creature's waist — the only suggestion that something once wore it — while the exposed torso reveals lean muscle and layered scales across the chest and back.

The pose carries real menace. This is not a creature standing still; it is a creature that has already decided the outcome. Arms spread, weight forward, claws extended — the Wendigo reads as mid-charge from every angle, which makes it equally effective as a surprise encounter on the table or a conversation piece on the shelf. The antlers fan out wide and high, giving the figure a dramatic silhouette that dominates the space around it.

The level of surface detail rewards a painter's patience. Scale texture covers the chest, shoulders, and back; the hide loincloth has layered, ragged folds; each individual claw is distinct; and the antlers have naturalistic branch-split and texture throughout. This is a large creature — size Large on the table — and the sculpt fills that footprint with authority.

This listing is available in two variants: without a base, and with a pre-sculpted decorative base included. Both variants are available in supported and unsupported file formats as printed, giving you flexibility in how you approach clean-up and preparation.

  • Adventurers who enjoy painting complex creature textures — scales, hide, and bone all in one sculpt
  • Dungeon Masters who want a memorable forest predator that lands differently from a standard lycanthrope or beast
  • Collectors drawn to folklore-inspired creature design with strong visual presence
  • Anyone running wilderness horror, primal hunting, or fey-corrupted-forest story arcs

Encounter Hook: The party has been tracking a series of disappearances along the High Road — travellers, merchants, a patrol of guards. At dusk, deep in the Ashwood, they find the remains arranged in a wide circle around an ancient standing stone, and then they hear it: not a howl, not a growl, but a sound like the forest itself exhaling. Initiative.
