This is a man who has survived decades on the city watch through equal measures of toughness and tactical intelligence. The Watchman Captain stands with one arm outstretched in a commanding point — barking orders, directing his troops, or perhaps levelling an accusatory finger at the party as they emerge from the wrong alleyway at the wrong hour. His broad frame is clad in studded leather armour with reinforced shoulder pauldrons, all secured with riveted straps and a wide belt. A heavy cloak sweeps dramatically behind him, and a substantial sword hangs at his hip, its ornate crossguard and weighted pommel suggesting a weapon of both authority and serious use.

The face beneath the wide-brimmed captain's helmet is weathered and bearded — the look of someone who has heard every excuse, seen through every lie, and still turns up for the night watch regardless. This is variation 01 of the Watchman Captain range, distinguished by that outstretched commanding arm and the assertive, wide-footed stance that dominates any scene it's placed in. Whether you're running him as a corrupt gatekeeper, a morally rigid lawman, or a reluctant ally to the adventuring party, he brings immediate narrative weight to the table.

Brings something specific to adventurers who:

• Need a credible authority figure for city-based intrigue campaigns
• Want a compelling NPC the party will either befriend or desperately avoid
• Are building out a city watch patrol group with a leader at its head
• Enjoy painting characterful, lore-rich human miniatures with strong silhouettes
• Collect display-quality urban fantasy miniatures alongside their D&D collection

Encounter Hook: The party has just been caught leaving the Merchant Quarter after curfew — pockets suspiciously full of the late lord's silverware. The Watchman Captain steps from the shadow of the gatehouse, arm extended, four guards at his back. He doesn't shout. He simply points at the party's spokesperson and says, quietly, "Explain." The dice are on the table. It's time to find out what your Charisma modifier is really worth.
