Wasteland Barbarian (Oovur) by DM Stash

Oovur is a warrior forged by hardship and instinct — not a soldier following orders, but a force of nature that happens to be standing upright. This sculpt captures him in a dominant, grounded stance: one hand gripping a massive two-handed sword planted at his side, the other curled at his hip where a hooked hand axe hangs ready. His fur-trimmed bracers, studded waist belt, and layered rune-etched kilt speak of a life spent taking what he needs and discarding what he doesn't. Long hair falls loose across layered pauldrons, and his bare, scarred torso makes clear that armour is a courtesy he extends only when he feels like it.
The sculpt's detail rewards close attention — the geometric knotwork carved into his kilt panels, the ornate crossguard of his greatsword, the individual feathers and fur tufts layered across his legs and boots. He stands atop a shattered rocky outcrop base, which grounds him as a figure who doesn't just occupy space but dominates it. Whether you're building a wandering berserker PC, a warband champion, or a fearsome rival who turns up at exactly the wrong moment, Oovur fills that role with presence and weight. Equally at home on a gaming table or a display shelf.
A sound choice for adventurers who:
- Are playing a barbarian PC and want a sculpt that reads as powerful rather than theatrical
- Need a warband leader, mercenary commander, or plains raider as a recurring NPC
- Want a display piece that holds up under close painting scrutiny — the rune kilt and greatsword crossguard are exceptional brush targets
- Are running a gritty, low-magic campaign where brute survivalism has a seat at the table
Encounter Hook:
The party find a man standing alone in the middle of the road, greatsword tip resting against the dirt, eyes fixed on the tree line ahead. He doesn't turn as they approach. When they ask what he's watching, he says only: "Something followed me from the wastes. It'll be here by dark." He still doesn't turn.
Oovur is printed at 32mm scale. The scenic rocky base is included as a separate piece — a small amount of superglue is all that's needed to attach it, and the model is sculpted to interact naturally with the base terrain. These are digital render images showing the unprimed sculpt in full detail. Every miniature comes ready for priming and painting, or can be used straight from the box.
