Description

Born from a confluence of hive-mind corruption and forbidden construct magic, the Wasp Hive Golem is not a creature that was ever meant to exist — it simply refused not to.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This large-scale horror sits on a 51mm base and earns every millimetre of it. The sculpt presents the Wasp Hive Golem in a wide, threatening stance — legs planted, body lowered, as though coiling for a lunge. Its torso is a mass of layered chitin plates and exposed insect anatomy, honeycomb-textured and deeply unsettling up close. A huge fan of membranous, bone-strewn wings erupts from its back, each wing edged with jagged spurs and torn webbing that suggests something between a wasp and a nightmare. One arm ends in a sweeping fan of overlapping chitinous blades, the other in a clutch of hooked talons — both read as weapons rather than limbs. The rounded, featureless head is ringed with sensory pits and compound orifices, giving it the air of something that doesn't need eyes to find you.

The rear view reveals the full wingspan in all its brutal geometry — two enormous triangular wing panels supported by segmented bone-like struts, studded with spines along every edge. The wing surface is textured with layers of organic debris and barbed material, as though the creature has been built up over time from whatever the hive discarded. It's a silhouette that fills a table.

Whether you run it as a construct gone wrong, a summoned abyssal entity, or the terrifying apex creature of a hive-based dungeon arc, this miniature carries the visual weight of a boss encounter straight out of the box.

Brilliant for adventurers who:

  • Need a large, imposing boss creature for hive or insectoid-themed dungeon arcs
  • Are running an Underdark or Abyss campaign and want a truly unsettling construct
  • Want a display painting centrepiece with exceptional surface detail across wings, chitin, and body texture
  • Play or run encounters where constructs and aberrations blur into something altogether worse

Encounter Hook: The party has been hired to clear a subterranean wasp colony that's been raiding a border settlement — but when they reach the nest's deepest chamber, they find that something has already consumed the queen and taken her place. The Wasp Hive Golem rises from a throne of compacted chitin and crushed armour, its wings spreading to fill the tunnel from wall to wall. It was never supposed to be here. The hive didn't build it. Something else did.
