Description

They say Hueil was once a king's champion — until the king made the mistake of breaking his oath, and Hueil's loyalty died with it.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

This bust from Primal Collectibles' Chronicles of Excalibur range captures Hueil in a moment of barely-contained fury. His broad, battle-hardened frame tells the story before his eyes do — bare-chested beneath crossed leather straps, a bone tooth necklace at his throat, wraps binding his forearms against old wounds. His long hair and full beard are windswept, and the heavy war axe dangling from his grip has clearly been used. The expression is not anger — it's the cold, considered look of a man who has already decided what happens next.

Sculpted as a display bust rather than a standard tabletop mini, Hueil rewards a painter's full attention. Every strand of hair, every ridge of muscle, every weathered seam in the leather is there waiting for a brush. He suits a shelf as confidently as he suits a session zero handout — the kind of face that tells a whole backstory at a glance. Whether you're playing him as a fallen lord, a barbarian exile, or the campaign's most dangerous NPC, this is a centrepiece worth building a story around.

Well suited to adventurers who:

  • Want a detailed bust project to showcase their painting skills
  • Are building a fantasy display collection with real character
  • Need a memorable NPC face — a rival, a warlord, or a reluctant ally
  • Are running an Arthurian or Dark Ages fantasy campaign and want visual props
  • Play or DM Barbarian-heavy parties and want the right energy on the table

Encounter Hook:
The party has been tracking rumours of a warlord gathering displaced fighters north of the border — men without lords, bitter and well-armed. When they finally find the camp and are brought before its leader, they see Hueil: axe resting across his knees, eyes measuring them before they've spoken a single word. He already knows why they've come. The question is whether they've brought an offer worth hearing.

What's included:

The cats attempted a Sleight of Hand check on the bubble wrap. We do not discuss what happened.

Pairs well with player character minis — build out your Arthurian campaigns with more from Primal.
