There is something deeply unsettling about a warhorse that refuses to fall. This skeleton warhorse miniature from Atlanticus Arts captures that dread with exceptional craft — a full equine skeleton mid-stride, its exposed ribcage and articulated bones rendered with surgical precision. Despite the absence of flesh, this mount is anything but defenceless: spiked iron barding protects the skull and neck, a chain bridle hangs from the jaw, and a worn leather saddle sits across the spine as though a rider might return at any moment. Bladed and spiked fittings stud the armour, and the hooves churn through a rubble-strewn base littered with broken weapons and scattered bones — the remains of those foolish enough to stand in its path.

The sculpt carries tremendous movement for a stationary piece. The raised front leg and forward-leaning posture suggest a mount caught between a canter and a charge, while the skull angled slightly downward gives it a predatory, purposeful air.
