This is no common wolf. The Warg Beast Run sculpt from Epic Miniatures captures a massive, predatory warg mid-charge — body low, forelegs driving forward, jaws split wide in a tooth-lined snarl. The face is framed by layered feather-like quills and jagged bony growths that fan out from the cheeks and throat, giving it a deeply unsettling silhouette that reads as much monster as animal.
Running the length of the spine is a dramatic ridge of erect quills and spines — not fur, but something harder and more threatening — fanning upward like a war crest. The haunches are powerfully muscled, the clawed feet splayed for grip and momentum. Every surface is covered in richly sculpted detail: overlapping fur layers, striated muscle beneath skin, and those bone-like quill formations that make this warg feel genuinely dangerous rather than merely large.
Mounted on a large 51mm oval base, this sculpt has genuine presence on the table. The pose communicates speed and aggression at a glance — drop it in front of your players and they will immediately know they are not fighting something they can simply outlast.
Whether you use this as a warg mount for a goblin warboss, a monstrous encounter in a darkwood, a Shadowfell predator, or even a druidic beast companion gone feral, the sculpt is specific enough to be evocative and versatile enough to serve across many campaign settings.
Especially useful for adventurers who:
- Run goblinoid or orc encounters and want a properly fearsome mount
- Need a large beast creature with genuine visual threat on the table
- Are building wilderness ambush or forest predator encounters
- Want a display piece that rewards careful painting across fur, quills, and muscle
- Play in darker settings where wolves simply aren't frightening enough
Encounter Hook: The party's ranger rolls high on Perception and catches a flash of movement at the tree line — but the shape is wrong. Too broad across the shoulders. The spine ridge catches the moonlight just before it charges. Three of them emerge from the darkness at a dead sprint, and whoever sent them has not yet shown themselves.
