Description
They said she was too old, too scarred, and too mean to be worth feeding — then they saw her charge through a city gate and rethink everything they knew about owlbears.

- ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
- ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
- ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf
Old Betty is no wild beast stumbled upon in a forest clearing. She is a veteran of the battlefield, fitted with a full war harness of layered plate and spiked iron, her feathers parted around segmented armour that has clearly taken its share of punishment. She crouches low, beak forward, taloned feet poised on shattered cobblestones — the posture of something that has learned exactly how far it needs to lunge. The sculpt captures every detail with care: individual feathers overlapping the armour straps, a ceremonial crest of sweeping blades rising from her back, and the unmistakable glare of an animal that remembers every handler who underestimated her.
From the DM Stash Law & Disorder collection, Old Betty works equally well as a monstrous encounter piece, a city guard's prized war beast, or the terrifying mount of a warlord who has long since stopped taking prisoners. She is a centrepiece miniature whether she's on the battlefield or the display shelf.
A great choice for adventurers who:
- Want a large, character-rich beast mini that commands attention on the table
- Are running urban warfare, siege, or city-state conflict campaigns
- Need a memorable monster that hints at a history beyond a single encounter
- Enjoy showcase painting projects with deep feather and armour textures to bring out
- Collect display miniatures with genuine narrative presence
Encounter Hook:
The party has been hired to extract a prisoner from a city watch compound — but the gate guard's post is empty, the chains on the wall have been ripped free, and something enormous is moving in the fog at the far end of the courtyard. The watch didn't lose their prisoner. They lost Old Betty. The prisoner is the least of the party's problems now.
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The model and scenic rubble base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue brings them together, and Old Betty does interact with the base in a way that makes the combined piece all the stronger. She arrives ready for priming and painting, or can go straight to the table as-is.
