Description

He does not rule through armies or iron — he rules through knowledge too terrible to destroy, and the skull in his hand once belonged to the last fool who tried.

  • ✔ Large-scale display bust — significantly bigger than standard 32mm
  • ✔ Resin printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted — ideal as a centrepiece painting project
  • ✔ Designed for display shelves and painting competitions

Vorthakar is no mere undead warlord. He is the Keeper of the Accursed Tome, a lich-like figure of ancient and corrupted learning whose very form is bound in chains draped with grim trophies — blades, a skeletal skull, a wheel of doom-marked iron, and the remnants of those who sought to challenge his dominion. His spiked crown of bone-like protrusions frames a leering, long-haired skull of terrible intelligence, and the oversized bestial head he clutches outward speaks to power over death itself. This is a character who has outlived civilisations and intends to outlive yours.

This large-format bust is sculpted with an extraordinary depth of surface detail — every chain link, every runic symbol, every strand of withered hair rewarding a painter's brush at every scale of magnification. The back of the piece is as richly composed as the front, with a dramatic arrangement of weapons, chains, and a grimoire-like tome radiating outward like a wheel of cursed relics. Whether positioned on a display shelf or used as visual inspiration for a campaign's most feared villain, Vorthakar commands every space he occupies.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Are looking for a large-format display bust with serious painting depth
  • Want a centrepiece villain for a Ravenloft, undead, or dark necromancy campaign
  • Collect fantasy busts of liches, undead lords, and arcane horrors
  • Need visual inspiration for a BBEG or recurring antagonist with real presence

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the source of the undead rising to a collapsed reliquary beneath the city — and there, mounted above a ritual circle still burning with sickly green flame, hangs Vorthakar's effigy. The skull in his outstretched hand turns slowly to face them. Then it blinks.

Details

This is a large display bust rather than a standard 32mm tabletop miniature — it comes on its own sculpted plinth base and is designed to showcase the full upper torso, face, and surrounding detail. Suited to miniature painters and display collectors alike. Some minor clean-up may be required on support contact points, as with all detailed resin pieces of this complexity.
