The Violet Fungus is one of the Underdark's most unsettling ambush predators. Rooted in place like any ordinary cave mushroom, it reveals its true nature only when prey draws close — lashing out with necrotic-laced tendrils capable of rotting flesh on contact. This sculpt captures that uncanny quality brilliantly: the distinctive honeycombed, hollow-pitted cap sits atop a ribbed stalk, while a crown of sinuous tendrils fans outward like grasping fingers frozen mid-reach. It reads as wrong in all the right ways — naturalistic enough to blend into a cave scatter scene, alien enough to unsettle your players the moment they look closely.
