The Vine Blight is one of the most unsettling entries in any forest encounter table, and this sculpt from Yasashii Kyojin Studio captures exactly why. This is pose 02 of the Vine Blight range — a hunched, forward-lurching form with its mass of ropy, fibrous tendrils cascading from a head that is more knot than face. One arm extends into a long, sinuous branch-limb that sweeps low to the ground, suggesting something between a reaching grasp and the motion of a creature that doesn't quite understand how bodies are supposed to work. The detail across the entire surface — layered striations of bark and vine, twisted sinew-like fibres, claw-toed feet that merge into root — is extraordinary, and rewards a painter willing to go deep into contrasting earth tones and sickly greens.

In D&D 5e, Vine Blights are the foot soldiers of the Gulthias Tree, awakened plant creatures that serve darker arboreal forces. On the tabletop they work brilliantly as environmental hazards that fight back, corruption-touched guardians in a diseased woodland, or the first sign that something has gone badly wrong in what should have been a peaceful grove. Supplied at 32mm scale. Available with or without a plain black base — the base comes unattached and can be fixed in place with a small amount of glue. Arrives grey and unprimed, ready for your paint scheme. Minor support marks can occasionally occur during the printing process; any that remain are easily cleaned up before priming.
