Description

He pours the ale with one hand and holds the axe with the other — and nobody in the tavern has ever thought to complain.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is the Viking Barkeep in his action pose — the sculpt that makes it clear this is no ordinary innkeeper. Broad-shouldered and battle-worn, he stands with a carved hand axe raised and his free hand outstretched, the posture of a man who's broken up more than a few fights and started at least one. His long braided beard, layered cloth robes, and wrapped bracers speak to a Norse heritage that never quite left him, even if the mead hall did. A round decorative medallion rests at his belt, and his bound-wrap boots suggest he's still ready to move when the situation demands it. The stool beside him doubles as both prop and weapon, depending on the evening.

Whether you're running a gruff tavern owner who moonlights as a guild enforcer, a retired raider trying to go straight, or a surprisingly dangerous quest-giver who keeps his best information behind the bar, this sculpt brings a full character to the table before a single die has been rolled. Equally at home on a gaming table or a collector's shelf.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a memorable, characterful tavern NPC with real presence
  • Are running Norse-flavoured campaigns, seafaring settings, or gritty urban adventures
  • Want a Barbarian or Fighter miniature with a distinctive non-combat aesthetic
  • Are building a tavern scene or settlement diorama for display

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the Salted Axe looking for passage north — but the barkeep, Gunnar, slides three mugs across the counter and says the ship they need is his, and he'll only negotiate with people who can prove they're worth the risk. He raises the axe. Not threateningly. Not yet. He just wants to see how the adventurers react.
