High Inquisitor Lorthren is the kind of man who has made a career out of being the most dangerous thing in the room — not through magic, but in spite of it. Sculpted from the Cogs of Revolution setting by DM Stash, this miniature captures a battle-hardened inquisitor mid-confrontation: arm extended, ornate flintlock locked on target, expression carved from decades of relentless pursuit. His silhouette is all authority — fringed epaulettes, chainmail longcoat layered with belts and pouches, a crossbody strap cutting across a chest that has long since stopped flinching at spellfire.
The sculpt rewards close attention. The barrel of the flintlock is engraved with decorative detail, the chainmail coat has a woven texture across every panel, and a second holstered pistol rides at his hip — because a man who hunts mages doesn't carry one gun. The textured rubble base gives him a grounded, purposeful stance, as though he has just stepped through a door and immediately identified every threat in the room. Whether you paint him in the dark colours of an authoritarian inquisition or the worn earth tones of a freelance monster hunter, this miniature reads clearly at arm's length across the table and holds up close under scrutiny — equally at home in a display cabinet as on a battlefield mat.
Suited to adventurers who:
- Need an anti-magic antagonist or fearsome recurring villain for their steampunk or dark fantasy campaign
- Want a powerful NPC faction leader — a High Inquisitor who makes the party very nervous
- Are running a Gunslinger, Arcane Archer or Battle Master Fighter and want a commanding, authoritative miniature
- Collect display-quality minis from the Cogs of Revolution world
Encounter Hook:
The party's wizard steps off the coach in a new city and finds Lorthren already waiting — arms crossed, one hand resting near his pistol. He doesn't introduce himself. He simply says: "I know what you did in Velmark. We're going to talk about it privately, or we're going to talk about it loudly. Your choice." The players have thirty seconds to decide whether their spellcasters run or negotiate.
Details
What's included:
One High Inquisitor Lorthren miniature at 32mm scale, supplied with a decorative scenic rubble base. The figure and base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue is all that's needed to attach them. Some models interact closely with their base, and this one looks best assembled as intended. Minor print marks may occasionally be present and can be removed easily before priming.

The cats have used their bonus action to look judgmental. As always, it was very effective.
