This is Vampire Spawn 04, the fourth sculpt in Yasashii Kyojin Studio's vampire spawn range, and it captures a creature in the grip of violent, unfinished transformation. The figure is posed wide-legged and low, muscles coiled beneath tattered trousers, both hands raised with fingers curled into raking claws. The expression — mouth open in a snarl, pointed ears pulled back, brow deeply furrowed — reads as pure predatory rage, the thin veneer of humanity stripped away entirely. There's no elegance here, no seductive noble vampire. This is something feral and desperate, and the sculpt is all the more unsettling for it.

The bare torso reveals anatomy in extraordinary detail: every sinew, tendon, and vein is rendered with the kind of precision that rewards careful painting. From behind, the corded musculature of the back tells its own story of something barely contained. The ragged cloth around the waist suggests a person who was undressed mid-change — a fighter, a villager, a prisoner — someone who didn't choose this. That story is baked into the pose itself, and it gives Dungeon Masters enormous narrative latitude. Use this alongside a vampire lord as a thrall, scatter several across a dungeon as guardians, or place it as the tragic remains of a missing NPC the party has been searching for all campaign.

Drawn to this miniature, adventurers who:

  • Run horror-tinged campaigns set in Ravenloft or gothic city environments
  • Need a vampire spawn that reads as a genuine threat rather than a backdrop monster
  • Want a character piece that rewards detailed painting — the anatomy and expression offer real depth
  • Are building a vampire lord's retinue and want varied, characterful spawn across multiple poses
  • Collect display miniatures with strong narrative presence on the shelf

Encounter Hook:
The party has tracked the missing blacksmith to the lower vaults of Thornmere Manor. They find him — or what remains of him — crouched in the dark behind a locked iron door, his tools still on his belt, his eyes gone pale and blank. He doesn't speak. He only turns, slowly, and the claws unfurl.

Scaled to 32mm. Available with or without a plain black display base — the base ships unattached and can be affixed with a small amount of glue. Each miniature is hand-checked before dispatch; as with any high-detail miniature, minor support marks may occasionally be present and are straightforward to clean up with standard hobby tools.

The cats rolled Arcana to understand why humans spend so much time on tiny figures. They failed the check. They stayed anyway.
