This is the third pose in our Valkyrie Shieldmaiden range from DM Stash, and it may be the most dramatic of the three. Captured mid-descent with enormous feathered wings spread wide, she wears layered battle armour etched with divine motifs and carries a rune-carved warhammer in one hand, her other arm poised for combat. Her knee is raised as though she's just touched down from a killing dive, and the swirling sculpted base beneath her feet suggests the momentum of a figure who has just crossed the boundary between the mortal world and something far older. Every individual feather in those great wings has been sculpted with care — from the broad primary feathers at the tips to the layered coverts folded against her back — making this as compelling a display piece as it is a tabletop centrepiece.

In D&D terms she works beautifully as a Deva, a Solar, or a homebrew divine agent — perhaps a war goddess's chosen emissary, a celestial bounty hunter, or a player character Aasimar Fighter or Paladin ascending into their full heritage. For DMs running Norse-flavoured sagas, heroic morality campaigns, or encounters where the party must prove themselves worthy of divine notice, she brings immediate narrative gravity to the table.

Encounter Hook:
The party stands over the bodies of three fallen soldiers when the air above them suddenly splits — a crack of displaced wind, a shadow blotting out the moon. She lands between them and the retreating villain, warhammer raised, wings still open. She looks at each adventurer in turn, then speaks: "Only one of you fought with honour tonight. The rest of you are on notice." She doesn't explain which one she means.

Details

Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and decorative base are separate pieces — a small amount of super glue will secure them together. The sculpted base is designed to complement the pose, so we recommend attaching it for the full effect. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or gorgeous as bare resin on a display shelf. Minor imperfections from the printing process are possible; any residual support marks are easily cleaned up before painting.
