Izumi Akaneko is a warrior of rare and unsettling grace. Clad in layered ceremonial robes that billow around her mid-strike, she wields a pair of curved blades connected by heavy iron chains — weapons that spin and snap at her command with the ease of long practice. A crown of ornate metalwork rests at her brow, and the detail in her clothing — teardrop embroidery, tiered skirt panels, intricately worked fabric — speaks to a culture with deep traditions around combat as ritual performance. Two variants are available in this listing: one depicting her face-on in a commanding, anchored stance; the other captured mid-spin, one foot lifted, skirt flaring wide, chains arcing out in full motion. Both share the same extraordinary level of sculpt detail and come with a scenic rubble base.
Whether she's a travelling blade-dancer encountered at a crossroads shrine, a silent enforcer for a merchant guild operating above the law, or a player character monk or rogue with a flair for the theatrical, Izumi commands the table the moment she's placed on it. She works equally well as a display piece — the dynamic chain elements and flowing robes make her a genuinely striking centrepiece for any collector's shelf.
Brilliant for adventurers who:
- Want a Tabaxi monk, rogue, or fighter with a distinctive, weapon-focused aesthetic
- Are building a campaign around eastern-influenced cultures, honour-bound warriors, or shadowy guilds
- Need a memorable recurring NPC — rival, anti-hero, or mysterious ally — who looks the part
- Collect fantasy miniatures with intricate textile and armour detail
Encounter Hook:
The party's contact at the harbour district never showed. Instead, a tigerfolk woman in ceremonial robes is already seated at their table, chains coiled loosely around her wrists, two blades resting flat on the wood. "He sent me instead," she says, without looking up. "You should be grateful."
Details
Supplied at 32mm scale. The miniature and scenic base are separate pieces — a small amount of superglue is all that's needed to attach them. The base features rubble and stone detailing that complements the dynamic pose; we recommend keeping them together as the sculpt and base interact visually. Arrives unprimed and unpainted, ready for your brush or display as-is in natural grey.
