Description

Where the cold dark of the ocean floor meets the threshold of a sunken ruin, the Man-o-War Guardian drifts into view — spear raised, clawed hand outstretched, and trailing robes of shifting water as if the sea itself has given it form.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is pose 3 of our Underwater Sentinel range from Great Grimoire, and it is one of the most striking aquatic creatures we carry. The sculpt captures the Guardian mid-attack — emaciated torso exposed above billowing, wave-like robes, a massive wide-brimmed cowl framing a hollow, skeletal face, and one bony arm reaching forward with predatory intent while the other drives a long bone spear overhead. The detail throughout is exceptional: the flowing base of the creature ripples with ocean-floor texture, and a leering skull motif adorns the lower body, suggesting something ancient and deeply territorial about this being.

Whether you read it as an undead sea-spirit, a Marid-touched guardian, a drowned revenant, or a wholly original ocean fiend, this miniature has the presence to anchor an entire underwater encounter. It works equally well as a roaming monster, a lair guardian, or a display piece in its own right. Three decorative base options are available — a coral reef scene with fish, a shoreline scatter with skull and starfish, or a seabed base with a sunken anchor — each adding further narrative texture to the piece.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need a stand-out boss or elite monster for an underwater or coastal encounter
  • Are running a seafaring, abyssal, or ocean-dungeon campaign arc
  • Want a display-worthy centrepiece that doubles as a terrifying NPC
  • Are collecting the full Underwater Sentinel range for a cohesive aquatic faction

Encounter Hook:
The party dives into the flooded lower vaults of the Sunken Library of Tharyx, searching for a waterlogged tome said to contain the last binding words of a sea god. As they reach the central chamber, a shape detaches itself from the darkness — one of three Man-o-War Guardians, spear levelled and robes spreading like a jellyfish's bell. The tome hovers behind it, untouched for three hundred years. The Guardian has been here every moment of that time.
