Description

He never stopped working — not when the plague came, not when the necromancer's ritual swept through the valley, and certainly not now that he's risen from the furrow where he fell.

  • ✔ 32mm scale resin miniature, printed fresh to order in the UK
  • ✔ Supplied unpainted and ready to prime
  • ✔ Compatible with D&D, Pathfinder, and all tabletop RPGs
  • ✔ Equally at home on the gaming table or the display shelf

This is Skeleton Villager 12, the twelfth pose in Novaminis' evocative undead villager range — a reanimated farmhand caught mid-swing, scythe raised aloft in one bony fist whilst the other hand gestures outward as though commanding the harvest itself. A tattered cape billows from his skeletal frame, rope coiled at his waist, and a wide-brimmed farmer's hat still perched atop his grinning skull. There's something deeply unsettling about the mundane made monstrous — this was once someone's neighbour, someone's labourer, and now he answers only to whatever dark will called him back.

For Dungeon Masters, the Novaminis villager skeleton range is a gift: consistent in style, varied in pose, and rich with narrative detail. This particular sculpt reads as a foreman or field worker, lending itself naturally to cursed farmsteads, blighted harvest festivals, or the shambling vanguard of a necromancer's rustic army. Equally compelling as a display piece, the dynamic pose and fine detail reward careful painting — earthy tones, rust-stained metal on the scythe blade, and sun-bleached bone would all suit this character beautifully.

Perfect for adventurers who:

  • Need varied skeleton minis with distinct character for horde encounters
  • Are building a cursed village, blighted farmstead, or Ravenloft-adjacent setting
  • Want an undead NPC with a narrative backstory baked into the sculpt
  • Enjoy painting miniatures with strong silhouettes and expressive poses
  • Collect the full Novaminis undead villager series

Encounter Hook:
The party arrives at the Ashvale harvest festival to find the stalls unmanned and the fields silent — then the scarecrows begin to move. Leading them is a skeletal figure in a broad hat, scythe raised, cape snapping in a wind that doesn't exist, marching towards the village gate with terrible purpose.
