Undead Tiefling Fighter by Epic Miniatures

Once a formidable warrior, this tiefling's infernal bloodline and martial fury endure even in death — and whatever dark power now drives those bones has not forgotten how to fight.

This sculpt from Epic Miniatures captures a horned tiefling fighter in a dynamic, aggressive mid-stride pose — sword raised aloft in one hand, a heavy spiked flail swinging from a length of chain in the other. The combination of blade and chain weapon speaks to a warrior who never relied on a single trick, even in life. Infernal curved horns sweep back from the head, and skull medallions are fixed to the shoulders like grim trophies, reinforcing the undead theme without tipping into simple skeleton territory. A pentagram-engraved belt buckle cinches layered robes over armour plate, and lengths of chain wrapped around the figure's waist suggest either binding or deliberate ornamentation — details that reward a painter who enjoys picking out character.

The figure treads on a plain base with a skull nestled at the feet — a subtle but effective flourish that grounds the model without overwhelming it. This is a miniature that carries genuine menace in its silhouette: the raised sword arm and swinging flail create a sense of kinetic energy that reads well from across a gaming table, while the texture on robes, armour, and chains provides plenty of detail for close-up display painting.

As an undead warrior rather than a simple shambling corpse, this tiefling fighter suits a wide range of roles. Use it as an elite undead lieutenant serving a necromancer lord, a fallen champion raised against their will by a rival faction, or even an unusual player character — a revenant fighter or a death-touched tiefling who carries the marks of their own demise. The skull motifs and infernal horns make it a natural fit for gothic horror campaigns, Ravenloft settings, or any Shadowfell-adjacent arc where the boundary between the living and the dead has grown dangerously thin.

• Adventurers building out an undead warband with a commanding, martial centrepiece
• Dungeon Masters running gothic horror or necromantic campaign arcs
• Players portraying a revenant fighter or a dark-touched tiefling character
• Painters who want a sculpt rich in surface texture and macabre detail
• Collectors seeking characterful undead pieces that stand apart from generic skeletons

Encounter Hook: The party arrives at a ransacked noble estate to find its master missing — and the steward, a once-loyal tiefling guard captain, standing motionless in the great hall. As candlelight catches the hollow gleam in its eyes, the chain at its side begins to sway. Whoever raised this warrior knew exactly what they were doing.
